I've talked to the employees at Gamestop and Target by me and they've said there will be consoles to purchase the day of release - I think it just depends on how many they get and how many people are planning to buy one! I suggest calling your local store early to mid week next week and see if they can give you any details about how many will be coming on trucks for release day.

I think its pretty much sold out at this point but I'm planning on going there in the morning on release date but I highly doubt they will have any.
