Yes, you can use every controller including Joycons, Pro Controllers and other things with the system. You just can't attach them or dock them. Please do not listen to the "My Bestbuy Elite" as he clearly did not watch the reveal trailer confirming this.

Please try again later.The Switch Lite itself has non-removable joycons attached, but according the Nintendo announcement of the Switch Lite, they explained you can use your original detachable joycons to play multiplayer on the Switch Lite. Unforunately though the Switch Lite won't be able to charge those detached joycons, so you will need a charger or an OG console to charge them. Hope this helps!
