Yes. I bought this phone and am on a contract. I just look at the sim card provided as a "back up" as I have had t-mobile unexpectedly refuse to recognize my sim card in the past. As long as you are using your current sim card the phone will work like a regular phone.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. It should work. I have a T-Mobile prepaid sim card in mine and it works just fine. You can contact T-Mobile after you've received the phone and they'll sync your phone number with the new sim card that they send with the phone.
