The Tablo is set to record by program by default. Once you tell it to record a program then it will continue to record that program whenever it airs until you tell it not to. Beyond that you can specify which channel to record when the program airs. If you don’t do that, and the program airs on multiple channels, even at the same time, then it will record both channels. You can also specify that it should record All airings, or use New airings which helps reduce the recording of old episodes. It also lets you specify how many episodes to record. All, 10, 5, 3, 1. All is the default.
