This unit does not use the internet to record OTA signals. That is why a UHF antenna is required to record your favorite shows. You will need internet access if you want guide updates every two weeks or so. You will also need internet if you want updates for your Tablo.

Please try again later.Well technically you don't need the internet access to record programs, but the problem is, you do need internet access to download the Tablo app to a computer, phone, tablet,etc. in order to set up the unit to begin with. So, this wouldn't be a product you could use.
