No, a usb thumb dirve will not work with Tablo. You should be able to get a compatible USB hard drive. I myself am using a really cheap 128GB SSD drive I installed in a USB enclosure. But people are having really good luck with very specific 1TB WD and Seagate hard drvies. Go to Tablo web site to determine what hard drives are compatible.
