Technically neither. The device connects to the internet over Wifi, but you can use a wired connection if you want. The TV connects via your local network (Wifi or wired) via a SmartTV/Device App (Roku, Amazon Fire, AppleTV, etc.)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can set up the device via a wireless connection, meaning that it can be in any room where it can pick up and send a signal. This is a great thing if your TV and router are in completely different areas of the house.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Only needs to be connected to the router. You must use a smart TV or streaming device (i.e. Roku) and install the TABLO app on it. The Tablo then broadcasts to the TV or supported streaming device over the home network.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Taboo has to be connected to your router either by wired or wireless connection. I had issues with the wireless connection until I installed the latest firmware update. I have the Tablo device in my living room where I already had an antenna connection and the wireless router is in another. Tablo connects on 2 and 5G. Added 2Tb hard drive and have had no issues. Great device.
