You can only record the OTA programs using an antenna. 
You can watch live or start a recording from any Tablo app.

You have access to the Tablo app on all the devices, Roku, Amazon fire stick, smart TVs. When you access the Tablo app you may record other programs of off air content.
Just as long as it is over the air tv show.
