• The short answer is YES, you can. However, the Tablo unit does NOT record FROM a TV. You install the Tablo on your incoming digital over the air antenna coax cable. The Tablo records the shows onto an external hard drive (sold separately). To watch recordings, your smart TV or mobile device must install the Tablo app which connects via your home internet WiFi or hard wire Ethernet. I installed my Tablo right next to my Internet router since it has to plug into it with a short patch cable. With this DUAL LITE model, you can watch a previously recorded show at the save time that another show is actively recording. Or it can record two shows at the same time, but then you can’t watch a recording while it is.
