“Can this be used with regular cable service ? I have Comcast cable with a DVR and their price is to much.”

• Tablo is designed to record and stream Over-The-Air (OTA) broadcast signals from ATSC TV antennas. They do not support recording from cable or satellite signals, cableCARDs, or clear/unencrypted cable (QAM).

• As far as i know this is an OTA(over the air) device. You hook it up to an antenna and scan for local channels only. I suppose you could try hooking your cable connection and see if they would scan, but I don't think it will work.
