• The Tablo guide is downloaded over internet. If you don't have the guide subscription you are only able to schedule recordings manually, like was done with a VCR.

• It should be possible, but you will not be able to get the schedule, that requires internet access. You DO need a home network in order to use the Tablo. A home network is the only way to access the device.

• No, You need internet and it works better if you connect the tablo direct to your router with the ethernet cable.
