• Yes. I use an ipad. I also have an android phone. It works well with both.

• The TV will see your smartphone hotspot as a wireless network, and connect to it as you would any other (with your password protection, etc.). Please note that the strength of your cellular connection (LTE, 4G etc.) will impact the streaming performance of any device. Additionally, if you do not have unlimited data, utilizing a hotspot may incur additional charges through your mobile company. Hope this helps! Thank you, TCL Customer Support
