“Can this tv stand uo securely without using the tv stand? I have a 17 1/2" tall space into which it must fit, and the stand makes it too tall.”

In order to maintain stability and safety, the feet should be attached as instructed. The TV is not designed to be used without the use of either the feet or some type of mount. Hope this helps! Thank you, TCL Customer Support
