You don't need to pay for a Roku account to use this TV. There is a "Premium" version of ROKU that has things like recent movies and some certain TV shows, but there is a TON of content you can see for free. I'm not a premium ROKU subscriber, and this TV has bee great for me anyway.

I use roku only for the spectrum app, I don't pay for it because I'm not looking to stream from roku only use the spectrum app that's part of the app but a free service. Netflix and other apps preloaded on tv are separate of roku and roku is like Netflix to stream, if you have an account with Netflix you can stream from Netflix without using roku.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, you can still stream! When I set up the TV, I set up a Roku account, but skipped the payment part of the roku setup. I stream Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Prime no problem!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.That's a scam! There is never a charge for Roku, but there are scammers who lure you to different sites to try and trick you in this way. Only sign up through the roku.com website.

Please try again later.You can use it for all the other free streaming BUT you should not have to pay for the Roku channel unless you are looking for the package that is more like a cable function. The Roku regular channel has all the free tv shows, movies, etc. you probably have to input an email but that should be it.
