Hello, This TV is a great entry level gaming TV which will allow you to enjoy the content from new game console with-out hurting your wallet. However, if you want to max out the ability of your new game console you might want to look into our current 6 & 8 series TVs which provide variable refresh rate, THX game mode and Dolby vision features. In any case you can't go wrong if you get a 4, 5, 6, or 8 series TV. All of them will work with the new consoles and will immerse you into the content, hope this helps.
