“I am looking at 55" TCL as a gift for elderly person. Was told a 2nd remote comes with that is much larger and easier to use. Also, with the voice control do you speak directly with the TV or do you need to add something to make this feature work?”

This TV does not come with the voice remote, but you can buy the Roku Voice Remote for about $20. The enhanced remote doesn't have to be pointed directly at the IR receiver to work. If you don't want to buy the enhanced remote, you could just use the Roku app on your phone for voice control.

You can install the free Roku remote to any smart device such as a cell phone or tablet and use as a remote.
