“As per answers from this question section why is the 55" actually 48.4" when it's supposed to be close to 55" not far behind a whole 5"? But in the specifications it says "screen size 55!" This is what's stopping me from purchasing this tv.”

So the thing is... TVs are measured bottom left corner to top right corner, or diagonally, across the screen. Soo... Remember Geometry class in high school. A^2 + B^2 = C^2 Well you have to use that to figure it out. The TV is 28.1" by 48.4". So 28.1^2 is 789.61 and 48.4^2 is 2342.56. Added together that is 3132.17. Now you take the square root of that and you have 55.967 inches. So you are actually getting a 55.967 inch TV for the price of a 55 inch, almost a full inch bigger for FREE.
