The body that regulates the HDMI spec has recently dropped the classification of HDMI 2.0 and allows manufacturers to deem all HDMI 2.0 ports as HDMI 2.1. What the consumer has to look for are the HDMI 2.1 features they need in the manufacturers HDMI implementation no matter what iit’s called, such as the following HDMI 2.1 specs: eArc, 120hz frame rate, etc. There are sets sold as HDMI 2.1 that do not contain all of the capabilities called for by The HDMI Alliance spec for HDMI2.1 and HDMI 2.0 sets, such as the s535 that are marketed as HDMI 2.0 that contain elements of the 2.1 spec such as the aforementioned Arc/eArc port. Decide what you need, why you need it and check the manufacturer implementation of HDMI in their spec sheet. HDMI “rules” are like the Wild West right now. Caveat emptor.
