Yes, easy to configure a WiFi connection and seems to work perfectly as long as you have a stable network. I tethered mine via Ethernet, personal preference.

Initial setup connects to the Wifi, and the underlying Roku OS supplies you with access to a huge set of apps. We use Netflix, YoutubeTV, Amazon Prime, Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+, to name a few. Roku also supplies some movies in its own app. There is no physical connection other than the power plug (and occasionally a DVD player to get to some old DVDs).
