“I bought this TV so I could have a great gaming refresh rate but also comply with my retro consoles like NES/PS2. It does have an AV in Adapter slot, now I have one but it doesn't seem to work with this TV. What is the correct AV Adapter I will need?”

There are quite a few available, but if you are looking to get a cheap on, that is your issue. Depending upon your output you have your TV will not be able to display it beyond 1080p, if you are attempting to upconvert you 480p or 720i retro signal you it will not work without a pricey solution. You should be able to search "Composite to HDMI converter" to get what you need. Chances are it will be powered independently.
