“I upgraded from the R615 to the R646, use all the same cables and receiver (Pioneer Elite w/ HDMI ARC and HDMI 2.0b cable). The TV will not play Dolby Atmos HD content via any app on the tv or via passthrough. What settings does it need to play Atmos?”

I looked into this myself, and Dolby Atmos HD uncompressed needs eARC (ARC will do it, but in a compressed format). So when my receiver sees the signal, it plays Dolby Digital + as designed.
