• You can set up the TV to turn off after not being interacted with for awhile. So it will go to sleep after he does

• This should not cause the TV harm. This TV does feature a sleep timer setting for up to 3 hours. This can be done in the settings or through voice command. Hope this helps! Thank you, TCL Customer Support
