Each series builds on each other. Both of these series are 4K UHD, have HDR and Dolby Vision support, have a Roku operating system, wide color gamut, auto-game mode, an edge-to-edge glass display, etc. The 6-Series also has CCZ technology and Quantum Dot Technology. Not on the 5 series, but you can buy the enhanced voice control remote from Roku for $20. The enhanced remote also means that you don't have to aim the remote at the IR receiver, you can point anywhere.
