You need HDMI 2.1 for 4K @ 120hz. Check the reviews on Rtings for the input capabilities. As far as I know, only the new 2021 Vizio has HDMI 2.1.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My XBOX One X recognized the TCL 65Q825 as 4K and immediatly adjusted the settings from the 1080p which was the hishest resolution of the HD Toshiba TV I had previously been using. I believe it supports 120hz gaming ( according to RTINGS https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/tcl/8-series-2019-q825-qled and CNET https://www.cnet.com/reviews/tcl-65q825-2019-roku-tv-review/). Borderlands 3 is 4K HD supported and looks sharp on the screen.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The 8-Series TVs feature a powerful panel with a native refresh rate of 120 Hz and 4K display resolution. With its powerful picture performance technologies, TCL is proud that respected TV reviewers have given accolades to the 8-Series that include being the best-performing LED LCD TV available from any brand today. Like most TVs with 120Hz native panels that have been released in recent years, the 8-Series does not officially support 120Hz input from the few limited sources capable of HDMI output at 120Hz. Although some reviewers and customers have reported success in being able to receive 120Hz HDMI input from certain devices with specific combinations of resolution, bit-depth and frame rate from the HDMI source device, customers are reporting that support greatly depends on the specific source device and it’s settings. Hope this helps! Thank you, TCL Customer Support
