“Can I still use smart view from my Samsung phone to mirror it's screen image to this TV, even if I don't have a separate WiFi signal? I was able to with my older TCL TV but it was a Roku TV.”

Both the TV and your phone would need to be connected to the same WiFi for any sort or casting to work. Hope this helps! Thank you, TCL Customer Support
