USB 3.0. However, USB 3.0 will plug into a USB 2.0 port and will work just fine. They are backward compatible it will just operate at USB 2.0 speeds when plugged into USB 2.0 port on your computer.

My unit UPC code 841163061114 (part No ST0005U-C) has USB3.0. There is NO eSATA interface on this unit.
