• Honestly you shouldn't need this for a crockpot. Usually the temps held in a crockpot are good enough so the meat turns out very tender. Just my opinion.

• I imagine yes. If you’re able to use it in an oven I’m sure you can use it in a crock pot

• Don't own either, but it works in oven, crock-pit, and a grill. I cant see why it wouldnt, but I dont have the manual handy at the moment that would confirm it. Either way, its a great tool, and do recommend it.
