Yes, but this is one of the beauties of the design and should not be considered a flaw. They're sealed so nothing can come apart, the battery wont fall out, etc. Tile even has a "reTile" program that offers you replacements at a discounted price when a year passes, allowing you to take advantage of this before your battery dies.

The 1 year is approximate, but yes, the battery does eventually run out in roughly that amount of time. I wouldn't let that stop you, though, because I have found the year of use to be well worth the purchase price.

I’m not sure unless they come up with a way to recharge every tile. I have only had mine for a few weeks but it’s worth it.

Havent't had them for a year yet , but that is what I understand. They say that they will replace at a greatly discounted price after a year, we'll see!

It does appear this is true. No way to replace batteries. All the paperwork also says this.They are cheap enough though I won't mind buying them again next year.

mine is going on 2 Year’s. But it’s true the battery isn’t replaceable so their will be an end date for the Tile.
