• You need an antenna if you want to watch free broadcasts from local channels. If you have DirecTV, Prime Video and Netflix you don't need an antenna.

• No you do not. Just plug and play with an HDMI to your DVR box and you're good to go! This TV has Hulu, Amazon, Netflix, etc as well
