“Is there a way to get the TV remote to operate a soundbar (turn it on/off)? I currently have to use the soundbar remote to turn it on, then connect it to the TV via Bluetooth. Then the TV remote will control the volume of the soundbar.”

• Use the Soundbar remote to turn it On/Off. Use the Fire TV Edition remote to control your TV. David M. - Toshiba Support
