• Yes it does have YouTube. I don’t know about direct tv but it seems to do everything else. It is a nice rig.

• It has everything diretcv and basic tv functions will work but smartv functions probaly wont

• Yes, it also has a browser so that you can visit the YouTube site. Yes you can hook the TV up to a direct TV remote because all TV service remotes are universal. You just need to find the proper code to put into you remote to pair it.
