Will this tv work with direct tv? null

Amazon fire toshiba 43 inch didn't work or me with hdmi connection to directv box, screen was very very wierdly mostly green a regular hdmi monitor worked with with directt-v box but not this fire , tried several hdmi cables, is it my tv is just lemon or is this common.
