• I also purchased an antenna for the tv. I think it was for a 50 mile radius. Once I did that I was able to receive about 70 channels.

• If you have a cable box, there is no need to scan for channels. Just hook up your Cable Box with an HDMI cable and select the HDMI input. You can have both: a Cable Box for cable channels and an Antenna for over-the-air broadcasts from your local channels. Connect your antenna using the coaxial jack.
