“Will the TV play standard definition mpeg files from an external HD connected to the USB port? I tried to do that several times but got an error message that the file did not load properly each time.”

• Hi, The TV does not support a Hard Drive. The USB port supports *.jpg format pictures and only USB flashdrive up to 128 GB formatted FAT32. Alan O. - Toshiba Support

• No, not that I’ve found. Kind of a pain! I had to open and add photos to an Amazon Photo account to view photos . It works great but an added step to veiw photo.
