Some examples are the usual Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, HBO Max, Apple TV, but also other streaming apps like Crackle, IMDBTV, Sling, Philo, etc., etc. Also, most networks have their own apps, which can be downloaded. Examples are ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC, OWN, PBS, History, Discovery+, Showtime, Stars, A&E, etc. Some of them offer free content and others are paid services. There’s an almost unlimited number of options. You can also download games and other apps, like Pandora, Tidal, etc. Think of the OS as a tablet for your TV, complete with an App Store. FireTVOS is based on Android.
