“When I try to watch regular tv I get glitches on the screen, like a a persons head will get distorted, or the screen will look jumpy, when I watch HBO Max, or DISNEY PLUS it is fine though, any ideas?”

Could be the connection your using. Maybe add a different antenna. Since your apps seem to work that would be my first assumption.
