I suppose you could plug the external drive into ANOTHER computer and set that computer up to be accessed remotely by YOUR computer, but that would kind of be pointless. If you have wireless access to a home network, you could hookup a network hard drive to your home network, and connect to the external drive (wirelessly) via the home network. These network hard drives are a different type than the portable external hard drive, and are usually made for the sole purpose of being a network hard drive.
