Yes it is compatible and it is an easy install you plug it in format and it's ready to go

We used one of our three for the XBOX One. We just formatted it for the XBOX once we plugged it in, and we use it strictly for the XBO. Enjoy! :)

Yes and yes! It's not super fast (you won't notice any speed difference between the internal and this external), but it definitely allows you to add about 20 more games!

I have not tried this drive with the Xbox one, but I imagine it would work just fine. Due to the size of the games, I'd recommend you get a larger drive if you could manage it for Xbox One.
