“How can I get the hard drive to work with y ps4? I have recently purchased the hard drive and have formatted it to Fat32, my ps4 will recognize the hard drive but when I go to open, the VIDEO and MUSIC files I created are not there. Instead there is a folder that says BOOT , which has nothing in it and another one that say EFI which also has nothing in it. When I plug the hard drive into my computer I can see the folders I have created but they are not visible on the PS4. Why are they not being recognized?”

make sure your PS4 has the latest firmware update: http://manuals.playstation.net/document/en/ps4/settings/backup.html

Yes, this Canvio Connect external hard drive is compatible with Playstation 4. However, you may have to reformat the drive to the FAT 32 file structure in order for it to be compatible with the Playstation 4. If you do have to reformat the drive it will erase the contents from the drive. Which device did you use to format the drive, the Playstation 4 or your computer?
