“recording VHS to DVD without monitoring I'm thinking I just want to dump a variety of VHS content onto DVD without seeing what I'm doing, i.e., without the trouble of hooking up to a screen, which could be a pretty useless hassle. Yes, it can be done. Just get the video tape going, start recording on the DVD and stop when you the tape finishes playing. Without monitoring, you may not know exactly when that is, but it shouldn't make much of a difference. You will just have unrecorded space at the end of the DVD.
