Theoretically, it can help improve connectivity as long as WiFi signal strength/range are the current cause of the issue with your router. However, if the speed issue is due to the router itself or your service, please bear in mind an extender will only repeat the quality of signal it receives from your router. Regards, TP-Link Support

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This will improve the strength of your connection signal. It will not improve your internet speed in any way. This product only extends the range of your current signal for more reliability in areas where there is little to no signal. If you want improved internet speed, you would need to upgrade your connection through your ISP. That being said, I have 1 smart TV connected to this and it works great. But if speed is your issue, check to see how you can improve it through your ISP or by adjusting your current router settings.
