“I have an existing deco WIFI system at home which is using M9 plus, do I just add x25 in my existing system or will it be better performance wise, if I create new network/WIFI system and make X25 the main one and use my older M9 plus to be the extenders?”

Hi AllanFromManila, If you want the Deco X25's features to be available via the Deco app, it should be set as your primary Deco. However, if you prefer the features offered by the M9 Plus, you can simply add the X25 as a new satellite node within your Deco Mesh network.
