“Can this trim kit be cut to fit a fridge that is not as wide? I have a Frigidaire with double doors and below freezer. I'm fine with taking a hacksaw to cut the unit's width but not sure if I can reattach one of the rails afterwards.”

They make a different trim kit for the single fridge. I would look it up and check the width. But yes you could make it work if need be
