• the cord is long , the have a USB plug that eliminates the connection to the controller they plug into your ps4 or ps3 an the mic works very well plus the sound is good plus you can turn the mic on or off plus you can remove the mic to use the headphones just as headphones

• Yes you can connect to a wireless remote controller, I have seen my kid use it with the PS4. The original cord with the mini plug is only about 3 feet long but it comes with an extension that adds another 6 feet that plugs into USB.

• U have to plug them directly to the ps4. Cord is very long

• The cord is plenty long enough to plug into the underside of your joystick. It also comes with an extension that looks to be about 8' long that will plug into a USB port. From what I understand, that is for use with the PS3. You don't need the extension for the PS4 as the joystick powers the headphones.
