Not trying to give you a hard time or anything, but I had a similar problem and someone said to make SURE you have the plugs pushed in all the way. I thought, of COURSE I have them in all the way, you can SEE it, but then I grabbed the plug going in to the adapter and pushed harder and SNAP into place it went. The same goes for the plug going in to your headset. Also, make sure to use "heightened hearing" (or whatever they call it) to boost the sound. It makes a HUGE difference! Also, don't forget the headset's inline controls. I turn mine up and use the control on the adapter, since it's more convenient than grabbing for the headset's. It's weird dealing with two places to adjust volume... If nothing works, take it back and try again. And be thankful you got it from Best Buy instead of Amazon! :)
