• Yes, that is its purpose and it plugs into the 3.5mm jack on the bottom of the controller. However, I found the speaker to be too quiet to hear anyone well and they would be completely drowned out when playing a game, so I returned it. I recommend the Microsoft chat headset. I think its more comfortable and I can hear everyone clearly, even when I have the game volume turned up.
