You apparently have a misconnect between your remote and the TV. Calling for tech support and having a set-up walk-through should readily solve your problem.

I have called my cable company & they have told me how to program my cable remote. There is a specific code for each TV type & steps that you must take & they can walk you through it free of charge as I've had to do it several times after my cat walked on top of it & got it screwed up. There is also a way to do it via the TV but although Geek Squad did it this way, I could not tell you how. I found it very easy to just go thru my cable company.

It can depend on the provider and the remote they give you. Because in some cases, the cable remote does everything without any additional programming. If you would like to see what we can do, we can either send an agent out there or try and help over the phone. To get started, you can either reach out to your local Best Buy store or contact us at (800) GEEK-SQUAD or (800) 433-5778.
