“I got it all together, but after mounting TV to the mounting frame, the tilt will not hold after tightening the tension knobs. I set it with no tilt but after a couple of minutes, the TV is at full tilt. I can't figure it out.”

The lower the TV is mounted on the brackets, the better it will hold the tilt. Mount it too high, and it simply becomes too top heavy. I have a 55" mounted on mine, and it has no trouble at all holding the tilt.
