This could be any number. There are a set of holes in the stand that allow you to position the mount at different heights, and the mount itself has lots of holes that would allow you to potentially position it at varying heights on your tv. I wanted my tv lower, so I drilled additional holes in the stand.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The shelves are not adjustable and seem to be the biggest complaint. But the only issue you may have with spacing is if you plan on putting pictures on this. Almost all receivers/gaming consoles/cable boxes will fit with no problem. The distance is entirely dependent on how to setup the wall mounting brackets and the size of the TV. I currently have a 43" with centered brackets and there's about 3.5 feet from the ground to the bottom of the TV. Hope this helped!
