This product is IP44 certified, This means that they can be used also outdoor safely within this range of temperature: from -15 °C to 40 °C or 14°F to 104°F Consider placing the plug and the controller in a proof location, and to avoid plunges into the water for a long time (pools, gutters, puddles… ). One other good solution, if you don't have any safe place near the string, is to buy a waterproof box for plugs, which stores both the controller and the plug itself
